BIRTH & POSTPARTUM DOULA
Hi! I’m Sasha and I’m a certified birth & postpartum doula based in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn. I’m also an actor and have a BFA in Drama from NYU Tisch School of the Arts.
I first felt called to be a doula after the birth of my first daughter when a complicated pregnancy and birth was made joyful and empowering by my own incredible birth doula. After the birth of my second daughter, I felt a deep desire to be a permanent part of these sacred birthing spaces, and to share with other birthing people what my doula gave to me. Soon after, I realized how equally critical it is to provide compassionate postpartum support and began my journey as a postpartum doula.
I am steadfast in my belief that all birthing and postpartum people deserve non-judgmental, unwavering support, and treat each unique experience with compassion, respect, and humor (because laughing can help!). I’m here to help you feel confident in making informed decisions, fiercely advocate for you, and bring joy into your birthing and postpartum space.
While most of my free time is spent being mom to two wonderful and energetic young daughters (and one dog!). I also love running, baking, and seeing as much theatre as I can.
I am so grateful to be a part of your journey.

BIRTH DOULA
I have always been innately drawn to the birth space. According to my family lore, when I was four years old and my younger brother was born, I arrived at the hospital with my plastic doctor's kit, assuming I would be helping with the delivery. I followed the doctor track for many years, attending Yale University as a pre-med biology major, spending my summers shadowing OBs and midwives, and assisting with vaginal and Cesarean births alike. Along the way, my eyes were opened to the role of a birth doula, and it became immediately clear to me that that was the role I actually wanted.
Birth is a singular intersection of remarkable and quotidian, of physical and emotional, of intuition and mystery, and it is a singular and special privilege to help support my clients (and their partners) through the birth experience.
There are so many ways to give birth, and as a doula, I have no hidden agenda as far as what choices you should make. My priority is ensuring that you feel empowered, informed, and safe - prenatally, during labor, and postpartum - so that you can experience all the parts of pregnancy and birth that are important to you. I lead with warmth, compassion, evidence-based information, and humor (there's a lot of stuff to laugh at and marvel at in this wild process!), and I practice non-judgmentalness as a rule.
Sasha Testimonials
“The birth of our second child was one of the most transformative experiences of our lives, and having Sasha as our doula was a blessing. From the start, her positive energy and calm confidence reassured us. She didn’t just support us—she became an integral part of the journey, and we can’t imagine navigating it without her. She helped make our birth everything we hoped for—and more.”

“I was really scared of birth, so I sought out a doula who would help me feel supported, safe, and maybe even joyful during labor. I never thought I'd say I actually enjoyed giving birth to my daughter, but I really did. Sasha was there the whole time, offering support to both my husband and me, keeping the environment calm and supportive, and communicated beautifully with all the nurses and doctors. I really had an amazing experience, and I will never forget this beautiful process of labor.”

“After having a traumatic labor and delivery experience with my first child, I was really concerned about how difficult my postpartum recovery would be – both physically and emotionally. Sasha was with me throughout my pregnancy as well as into my early postpartum weeks, and I can say without a shadow of a doubt, I would not have made it through without her. Not only is she incredibly kind, empathetic, and supportive, but Sasha also has a way of anticipating your needs that makes you feel so cared for and seen during such a vulnerable time. She was there for me whenever I needed her – without fail and without judgement – and I am so grateful to have had her by my side.”

"Chandler was an incredible resource to me throughout my pregnancy. Chandler has a special combination of genuine warm energy, an ability to listen empathetically, a lightness and humor, and a deep knowledge about pregnancy and birth, that are invaluable in a doula. She took my concerns seriously, even as she provided me with research-based resources and information that always helped me to feel reassured and to better understand what was happening in my body. Chandler's support helped me to feel safe and empowered as I prepared to welcome my first child."

"As a first-time mom, I was incredibly anxious about the birth process and all the unknowns that come with it. Thankfully, we had Chandler as our birth doula, and she was an absolute game-changer. From the very beginning, she guided and supported my husband and me with such care and professionalism. She reassured us, listened to our concerns and wishes, and provided invaluable resources and support that gave us peace of mind.
Even though my birth didn’t go exactly as planned (as is often the case), Chandler was there every step of the way. She helped us adapt and turn what could have been a stressful experience into something positive and empowering. I truly believe having her by our side was one of the best decisions we could have made.
Chandler’s postpartum support was just as incredible. She was warm, understanding, and endlessly supportive when I needed it most. Choosing her as our doula was absolutely the right choice, and I will always be grateful for everything she did for us. If you’re considering a doula, I cannot recommend Chandler highly enough!"

"Imagine the warm, calm, sensitive, supportive friend who knows when to check in, when to ask questions, when to share, when to give you a hug...but also when to take a step back and respect your boundaries without you even having to ask. Combine all that with a highly professional and trained doula and you'll get a sense of Chandler. A great support, resource, and partner prenatally, during birth, and postpartum, Chandler empowered me and made the journey for both me and my partner smoother and more knowledgeable. All this to say: we can't recommend Chandler enough!"
