About the Collective
Bringing a new life into the world is an incredible journey, unique to each family. East River Doula Collective (formerly known as Astoria Doula Collective) is committed to providing support, guidance, and personalized service in order to make your birth and postpartum experience as positive, stress-free, and uplifting as possible. The Collective was founded in 2018 by Astoria doula Leigh Cohen who had a vision of a community of Queens-based doulas supporting Queens families and is currently led by Lisa Greaves Taylor of Birth Matters NYC.
We support families throughout NYC, western Long Island, and Westchester.
Please take a few minutes to watch the above welcome video to learn more about our collective as well as the role of a birth doula and postpartum doula. This will help you get a better sense of how you might best be optimally supported in your journey into parenthood. Also read our statement of values.
