Laura K.
BIRTH, POSTPARTUM, AND FERTILITY DOULA
Laura Kradas is a birth and postpartum doula and founder of Rooted In Fertility, specializing in guiding people into pregnancy and birth after fertility struggles. She supports individuals and families of all backgrounds—including single parents by choice—offering care that blends evidence-based expertise with emotional attunement, helping clients navigate pregnancy, birth, and postpartum with confidence, clarity, and agency.
Laura is particularly experienced in supporting LGBTQ+ families and BiPOC clients, though she welcomes anyone seeking inclusive, compassionate doula care. She works closely with clients, partners, and chosen support people, recognizing that birth and postpartum are shared experiences that thrive when the entire family system is seen and supported.
What sets Laura apart is the depth and breadth of her experience. She holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA), is a National Urban Fellow, and has worked on public health initiatives to reduce maternal mortality, giving her a systems-level perspective that informs her advocacy and guidance. Growing up alongside her father in the NICU instilled a lifelong respect for evidence-based medicine, which she integrates with the emotional and relational nuances of birth.
Laura believes that what we endure to get pregnant shapes our birth experience. Her approach prepares families not only physically, but emotionally and mentally, for a transformative birth—helping them enter labor open, grounded, and empowered.
She was also postpartum care associate at the original Boram Care, a postpartum luxury center redefining how families were supported after birth, bringing anticipatory, culturally responsive postpartum care to every client she serves.
Through Rooted In Fertility, Laura offers care that is expert, warm, and deeply personal, guiding families through fertility, pregnancy, birth, and postpartum with insight, advocacy, and unwavering support.
